Marusarzowa Przełączka is a deeply cut, narrow pass in the Żabia Grań ridge, one of the wildest corners of the High Tatras. This spot is for true lovers of Tatra wilderness, where rocky towers and steep gullies create a raw, striking landscape.

The pass lies on the Polish-Slovak border, separating Marusarzowa Turnia from Apostoł VII. The surroundings are classic high-mountain terrain - steep gullies, granite towers, and views toward the Rybi Potok Valley on one side and the Żabie Stawy Białczańskie Valley on the other. The atmosphere here is rugged and remote, which only underscores its uniqueness - a corner of the Tatras that the average hiker will never see.

How to reach the viewpoint

• From Czarny Staw pod Rysami via Owczy Upłaz and Marusarzowy Żleb - a route rated 0- on the Tatra difficulty scale, known since pre-tourist times

Practical information

• The entire area currently lies within the strict nature reserve of the Tatra National Park, closed to hikers and climbers
• Climbing is permitted only south of Białczańska Przełęcz - the whole Żabia Grań ridge is off-limits

The name of the pass and the nearby tower was introduced in 1954 to honor Jędrzej Marusarz, a Tatra mountain guide and rescuer, who was part of the first recorded ascent here in 1905 together with Janusz Chmielowski and Károly Jordán.
