Wolteich is a small but charming former moated castle site tucked away in Friedrichsgrün, part of the municipality of Reinsdorf in Saxony. It's a quiet spot for anyone who enjoys tracing the outlines of medieval fortifications and soaking up the peaceful atmosphere of a water-surrounded site far from the crowds.

The remains of this water castle, also known as Wohl, Wol or Walteich, sit within a moat that still holds water, with faint traces of an outer rampart still visible in the terrain. Little remains of the original structure today, but the island pond and gentle earthworks hint at what once stood here. Surrounded by allotment gardens and a small park, the site has a different charm in every season - lush and green in spring and summer, quiet and atmospheric in autumn and winter.
