With gradients reaching up to 15%, it's a demanding but rewarding drive through a peaceful alpine landscape. East of the pass, at 1080 m, lies the Soboth reservoir lake, stretching 3 km in length and 1 km in width, a refreshing summer destination where water temperatures can reach up to 24°C.
How to get thereWith a maximum depth of 80 m, Lake Soboth also serves as a reservoir for the Koralpe power plant, combining natural beauty with regional infrastructure.
