Za pilou is a small but ecologically significant nature reserve on the southern edge of the village of Srbská Kamenice, protecting waterlogged meadows on Cretaceous sandstone bedrock. There's no stream here at all - the wetness comes purely from rainfall and small water seeps, creating a unique habitat for rare wetland plants.

The landscape here is quiet and gentle, a boggy meadow tucked among forests where the western marsh orchid blooms alongside marsh valerian and other wetland flora. It's a place for nature lovers who appreciate subtle biodiversity over dramatic scenery. Keep an eye out underfoot too, as common European vipers are fairly frequent here.

• Bus stop Srbská Kamenice, křižovatka - about 1 km from the village centre, easy walk, roughly 15-20 minutes
• The 'Srbská Kamenice' educational trail runs past the reserve and can be joined from the village centre

• Protected area - stay on marked paths and do not pick plants
• Ground can be wet and boggy - sturdy waterproof footwear recommended
• Nearby, a small rustic Rural Agricultural Museum, partly set inside a sandstone cave, is freely accessible

Less than a kilometre west of the reserve stands a memorial to the 1972 Yugoslav airplane crash, a quiet reminder of the area's history.
