Ivarčko jezero is a small artificial lake tucked beneath Uršlja gora in the Ravne na Koroškem municipality. It holds the distinction of being the lowest-lying alpine lake in Slovenia, making it an easy and rewarding stop even for casual visitors.
The lake covers 1.2 hectares and reaches a maximum depth of 5 meters. Surrounded by greenery and framed by views toward the surrounding hills, it once hosted a well-kept recreation center with sports courts, sunbathing areas, and a proper beach. In recent years the area has fallen into disrepair, awaiting a new owner with a vision to revive it. Still, the lake itself retains a peaceful, natural charm and makes for a pleasant stop on a walk or bike ride through the Koroška region.
How to get thereThe lake lies close to the former lower station of the chairlift serving the Ošven ski slope, giving the area a winter character too during the ski season.
