Hadí kopec is a modest but geologically fascinating hill (378 m) south of the village of Krásný Les, tucked within the Peklo Nature Park. It's not the view from the top that draws visitors here, but rather the striking basalt massif split by the Lomnice River, revealing textbook examples of columnar jointing.

The surrounding landscape has a wild, untamed feel. The Lomnice River winds through meanders and forms small oxbow pools at the foot of the hill, while the slopes are covered with fragments of submontane deciduous woodland, home to locally rare warmth-loving herbaceous plants. In spring and summer the area bursts with greenery and birdsong, while autumn brings rich colors reflected in the quiet river water — a peaceful spot for anyone wanting a slower, nature-focused walk away from crowded trails.
