Dutý kámen is a striking sandstone rock ridge near the town of Cvikov, famous for its unusual rock formations shaped by ancient volcanic activity. Here you'll find what locals call 'organ pipes' — five and six-sided sandstone columns resembling bundled sheaves of grain, similar to the more famous Panská skála near Kamenický Šenov.

The ridge stretches 600 meters and rises 30 meters above the surrounding landscape, with views toward Cvikov, though mature trees now partly obscure some vistas. Narrow steps carved into the rock lead up to the Široký kámen plateau, and along the ridge you'll pass a spot called Karolínin odpočinek (Karolina's Rest), complete with stone benches carved directly into the rock, plus a mysterious little cave known as Šustrova díra. The highest point of the whole formation is a spire called Sloupská jehla. The area feels lively and green in spring and summer, glows with autumn colors against the pale sandstone, and turns quietly magical when frost dusts the rock 'organs' in winter.

Don't miss the relief of poet Theodor Körner's head, carved into the rock in 1913 by two local amateur artists — now protected as a cultural monument and a charming trace of the area's early tourism history.
