Wola Maćkowa is a small village tucked away in the Bieszczady Mountains, within the Gory Slonne Landscape Park. It's a quiet, uncrowded spot for travelers who enjoy open countryside and gentle hills rather than busy trailheads.

The village sits among the rolling, forested ridges typical of the Gory Slonne range. Open meadows alternate with patches of woodland, giving the area a peaceful, pastoral feel that shifts with the seasons — lush green in summer, golden beech forests in autumn, and quiet snow-covered slopes in winter.

• Blue trail Rzeszow – Grybow, on the section Ustrzyki Dolne – Kamienna Laworta – Dzwiniacz Dolny – Mosty – Wolanska Pass – Brancowa – Jureczkowa. It crosses open terrain through the village from Brancowa to the Wolanska Pass and up to the scenic Mosty hill (Wysoki Dzial).
• Cycling route: Brzegi Dolne – Lodyna – Wola Maćkowa – Leszczowate – Brelikow – Ropienka – Wankowa – Dzwiniacz Dolny.

It's a great base for a quiet hike or bike ride through a lesser-known corner of the Bieszczady Mountains.
