The village lies within the Słonne Mountains Landscape Park, established in 1992. The surrounding forested hills change colour with every season - fresh green in spring, gold and red in autumn, and quiet snowy stillness in winter, making every visit feel different. It's a great starting point for both hikers and cyclists.

The village's history dates back to noble times, when the private village of Quaschenina belonged to the Herburt family and was located in the Przemyśl land of the Ruthenian Voivodeship.
