Zázrivá (1406 m a.s.l.) sits at the meeting point of three distinct geographical regions: Malá Fatra, Kysucká vrchovina and the Orava Magura. Zázrivá is famous throughout Slovakia for its handmade korbáče — traditional smoked string cheese — keeping alive a shepherd culture that dates back to the village's founding in 1556.
