Zadný Choč (1,288 m a.s.l.) is a quiet, forested summit tucked into the ridge of the Choč Hills in northwestern Slovakia, sitting between its more prominent neighbours — Veľký Choč and Kýčera. If you enjoy off-the-beaten-path hiking without the crowds, this is a rewarding little escape.

The summit itself is covered in dense forest, which limits the views from the very top. However, on the slopes you can find smaller clearings where, in good conditions, you can catch glimpses of the Choč Hills, the Liptov Basin, and on clear days even the Malá and Veľká Fatra ranges or the Low and Western Tatras. The terrain is moderate — no technical climbing required — making it a pleasant half-day hike. Autumn brings vivid colours to the surrounding forests, while the nearby saddle of Stredná Poľana is particularly charming in spring.
