Zadnie Jatki (2020 m a.s.l.) is the highest point of the western Belianske Tatry ridge — a twin-summit peak with a raw, untamed character that makes it one of the most intriguing spots in the Slovak High Tatras. It rewards the curious with dramatic scenery, rich alpine flora, and a rare sense of true wilderness.

The peak has two summits: the western one at 2020 m and the eastern one at 1984 m, connected by a broad ridge dotted with rocky walls up to 30 m high. To the west, the grassy Šalená Sedlo (Szalona Przełęcz, 1936 m) separates Zadnie Jatki from the neighbouring Szalony Wierch, giving the peak a clearly defined silhouette. The southern slopes descend steeply toward the Bielska Rówień plateau in the Valley of Przednie Koperszady — rocky near the top, then grassy and finally draped in dwarf pine. In autumn the colour palette here is extraordinary.

• Important — Zadnie Jatki lies within a strict nature reserve in Slovakia. The Tatra Magistrale trail that once ran along this ridge was officially closed in 1978. The summit is not open to regular tourists; access requires a special permit or participation in authorised scientific visits.

That little cave, Capia Dziura, tells the whole story of Zadnie Jatki today — its corridors belong to the chamois, not hikers, making this peak a true sanctuary of alpine wildlife rather than a busy tourist destination.
