Wyczyszczon, also called Wytrzyszczon, is a modest but charming peak of the Laskowskie Range in the Żywiec Beskids — a great pick for hikers who prefer quiet, less crowded trails over busy tourist highways.

The summit is partly open, covered with fields and the buildings of the Wytrzyszczon settlement belonging to the village of Pewel Wielka. This gives the area a distinctive open character with wide views rarely found in the denser forests typical of the Beskids. The north-western slopes descend towards the Pewlica valley, while the south-eastern ones drop into the Koszarawa valley, giving the surroundings a varied, dynamic feel. In spring and summer, green pastures dominate the landscape; in autumn the hillsides turn golden, and in winter snow blankets the open fields, creating a peaceful, pastoral scene.

How to reach the summit

• Pewel Wielka — approach through the Wytrzyszczon settlement, moderate terrain, suitable for an averagely fit hiker
• An alternative approach from the Koszarawa valley side is also possible for those seeking a different route

Practical information

• Railway line No. 97 from Sucha Beskidzka to Żywiec runs near the western foothills — a handy landmark and possible train access point
• Part of the summit area is settled, so please respect the privacy of local farms along the way

Interestingly, this peak carries two names — Wyczyszczon and Wytrzyszczon — a small topographic curiosity of the region.
