Wielka Góra (800.7 m) is a quiet, off-the-beaten-path summit in the Pieniny Mountains, rising above the village of Kamienka, about 6 km northwest of Stará Ľubovňa. If you're after solitude away from the crowded Pieniny highlights, this is your kind of peak.

The summit sits on a ridge running southeast from Vrchriečky, between Watrisko and the Rozdiel saddle. The surrounding landscape is classic Pieniny — rolling, forested hills cut by the streams of Veľký Lipník and Riečka, both tributaries of the Poprad River. The top itself is covered in patchy forest that blocks most views, but spots with sparse, low vegetation open up nice vistas of the neighboring Pieniny peaks, the Ľubovnianska Highlands, Čergov, the Levoča Mountains, parts of the Low and High Tatras, and the Spišská Magura. Spring and summer bring lush green cover, autumn paints the forest in warm colors, and winter offers real solitude, though be ready for unbroken snow with no marked paths to follow.
