Turnia nad Jaworzynką (1,626 m a.s.l.) is a rugged, rocky peak tucked away in the Belianske Tatry (Belianske Tatras) of Slovakia, well off the beaten path. Its very inaccessibility is part of its appeal — a place of genuine mountain solitude, low summit vegetation and sweeping views that feel like a reward in themselves.

The peak sits on a spur running northward from the main Belianske Tatras ridge, between the summits of Zadné Jatky and Prostredné Jatky. The surrounding landscape is quintessentially Tatra — rocky ridges, alpine meadows and dense forests. The summit itself is covered only in low vegetation, which means the views are wide open: you can see the neighbouring peaks of the Belianske Tatras main ridge, the nearby Spišská Magura highland, and in clear conditions the Orava Beskids, the Pieniny, the Ľubovnianska Vrchovina, Čergov, the Levoča Hills and numerous peaks along the Slovak-Polish border. In summer the summit basks in sun; in winter it takes on a stark, alpine character.

• There is no marked hiking trail leading to Turnia nad Jaworzynką. The peak lies within a strictly protected nature reserve where off-trail access is prohibited.

• The peak is located within the Belianske Tatry National Nature Reserve — all summits in this part of the Tatras are officially closed to tourist access.
• The area also falls under the protection of the Tatra National Park (TANAP) on the Slovak side.

The Belianske Tatras are the only part of the Tatras built predominantly from limestone, giving them a distinctly lighter, almost white appearance compared to the granite High Tatras — a geological curiosity that makes the scenery here truly unique.
