Tovsta is the kind of mountain that rewards those who seek wild, unspoiled Carpathian scenery over well-worn tourist trails. Rising to around 1400 m above sea level in the Gorgany massif of the Ukrainian Carpathians, it offers a genuine sense of remoteness and quiet that is increasingly rare in the region.

Dense forests cloak the slopes almost all the way to the top, where the summit opens up into a treeless crown with views across the surrounding Gorgany ridges.
