Tokarnia (1,220 m a.s.l.) is a massive forested peak in the Belianske Tatry (Belanské Tatry), rising above the charming village of Ždiar. It is one of those summits that draw attention precisely because they remain off-limits — wild, untouched, and cloaked in dense woodland.

The peak forms part of a spur running northward from Bujačí vrch (1,947 m a.s.l.) in the main ridge of the Belianske Tatry. Its slopes are covered with continuous forest, offering a lush green character in summer and a hushed, snow-covered stillness in winter. Where the tree line opens up, views stretch across the main Belianske Tatry ridge, the Spišská Magura hills, the Levoča Mountains, and numerous peaks straddling the Slovak-Polish border. The western slopes drain into Tokárenský stream, while the southern and eastern sides feed into Babí stream.

• Tokarnia lies within the Tatra National Park and the Belianske Tatry National Nature Reserve. There are no marked hiking trails leading to the summit, and access is officially restricted.

• The peak falls within the Belianske Tatry National Nature Reserve, where tourist access is strictly limited — as is the case for all summits in this part of the Tatras. Violations may result in a fine.
• The nearest settlement is Ždiar, located at the northern foot of the massif, offering accommodation and dining options as a convenient base.

Tokarnia is a reminder that some peaks are best admired from afar — a prominent silhouette visible from the surrounding valleys, standing as a testament to the wild, protected nature of the Belianske Tatry.
