Szpiglasowa Turniczka is a small but distinctive rock tower (approx. 2125 m) on the main ridge of the High Tatras, in the section known as Szpiglasowa Grań. This is a spot for experienced mountaineers rather than casual hikers - and that very ruggedness is what makes it so fascinating.

The tower sits between Pośrednie Szpiglasowe Wrótka and Niżnie Szpiglasowe Wrótka, with the Polish-Slovak border running along the ridge. Its north-eastern slopes drop into the Polish Dolinka za Mnichem, while the south-western slopes fall towards the Slovak Dolina Ciemnosmreczyńska. Together with the slightly lower Szpiglasowy Ząb nearby, it forms one slabby formation split by a diagonal crack. The slab face descending towards Dolinka za Mnichem is about 40 m high, while the Slovak side has a similarly solid but somewhat lower wall (around 20 m). The terrain here is stark and rocky, typical of the border sections of the High Tatras, offering views rarely seen by average hikers.

• Access is possible only for climbers with proper mountaineering skills - traversing the ridge is rated grade II, with sections of grade III on the Tatra scale.
• Alternatively, the tower can be bypassed on the Slovak side.

• Szpiglasowa Grań and its walls are currently completely closed to hiking and mountaineering.
• Three fatal accidents have occurred here in recent years, one of them right below Szpiglasowy Ząb and Szpiglasowa Turniczka - a cross installed there commemorates the victim.

The first traverse of the ridge across both towers was completed by Janusz Mączka on 27 July 1966, during his full crossing of Szpiglasowa Grań. The name first appeared on a military map in 1988; the tower was also formerly known as Igła w Szpiglasowej Grani or Dziurawa Turniczka.
