Świstowa Góra is a modest but atmospheric peak on the northeastern arm of Široká, tucked away in one of the wildest corners of the Slovak High Tatras. This is a place for those who appreciate mountains untouched by crowds and want to sense the spirit of times when only shepherds and hunters roamed here.

The peak rises between Świstowy Kopiniak and Murowany Koszar, forming a junction of the broad ridge separating the Świstowa Jaworzyńska Valley from the main branch of Široká Valley. To the east, Świstowa Góra descends toward Świstówka Jaworowa, a small side branch of Jaworowa Valley. The landscape is raw and intimate — steep slopes, wild valleys, and a silence occasionally broken by the whistle of a marmot, likely the origin of the peak's name. On the summit stands a modest stone cairn with wooden poles, a witness to past wanderings.

In the 18th century, below the peak in the Świstowa Jaworzyńska Valley, mining operations extracted iron ore — traces of this activity still hide in the wild terrain of the valley today.
