Suchy Wierch Olczyski is a quiet, forested ridge rising above Olczyska Polana meadow in the Western Tatras. It's a great pick for hikers who want to escape the crowded trails around Giewont or Kasprowy Wierch and enjoy the untamed feel of the Tatra woods instead.

The ridge branches off from Królowy Grzbiet in a north-westerly direction, splitting the upper part of the Olczyska Valley into two arms - eastern and western. At first it's barely noticeable in the terrain, but the further it stretches from Królowy Grzbiet, the steeper and more prominent it becomes. It's built mainly of limestone, though you can also spot occasional granite boulders carried here by glaciers from the High Tatras - a nice detail for anyone curious about geology. The whole ridge is covered in forest, with bare rocky outcrops appearing on its slopes, especially on the orographically left side. A surprising find are small, naturally occurring patches of dwarf mountain pine growing below their usual altitude range - quite unusual for this part of the Tatras.
