Suchárová is a quiet, unassuming peak tucked into the northern part of the Lúčanská Malá Fatra mountains, rising above the village of Višňové just 8 km southeast of Žilina. It's the kind of place that rewards those willing to step off the beaten path and wander through forest trails in search of solitude.

Marked visibly by logging activity, the summit forms a ridge stretching north from the Minčov massif toward the peak of Hoblík. It separates the Višňové and Stráňava valleys, both fed by runoff from its slopes. The partly forested top offers limited but rewarding views — from cleared spots on clear days, you can spot Veľká Rača, parts of the Súľov Rocks, the Javorníky range, and even the thousand-meter peaks of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids like Kněhyně, Smrk, and Lysá hora. In winter, the area turns into a peaceful snowy retreat, while summer brings lush greenery contrasting with the nearby slopes of Minčov and Úplaz.
