Spiska Grzęda (2,483 m a.s.l.) is a twin-summited junction peak in the Slovak High Tatras, rising proudly above the Wild Valley and the Valley of Five Spis Lakes. Untamed, trailless and strictly for climbers, it offers an authentic taste of high-alpine adventure far from the crowds.

The peak sits along the long south-eastern ridge of Wyżni Barani Zwornik. It is separated from Barani Mnich by the Barania Pass, and from Juhaska Turnia by the Juhaska Notch. The south-western ridge descending towards the Valley of Five Spis Lakes is a spectacular world of rocky towers and glacial cirques — formations like Spiska Igła (the Spis Needle), Spiska Szczerbina and Spiskie Czuby line the crest, while below lie the glacial basins of Barani Ogród and Wyżni Spiski Kocioł. In winter the area becomes serious alpine terrain; in summer the views across the lakes and surrounding ridges are breathtaking in every direction.

• There are no marked tourist trails to the summit — access is strictly for experienced climbers with the necessary technical skills.
• The western face of Spiska Grzęda is considered the most rewarding climbing route on the peak.

• The peak lies within the Slovak Tatra National Park (TANAP) — park regulations apply to all off-trail activity.
• No summit register or tourist infrastructure exists on this peak.

The German and Hungarian names — Déryspitze and Dérycsúcs — honour József Déry, who made the first ascent on 21 July 1896, guided by Johann Hunsdorfer senior.
