Soszów Wielki (886 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding summit in the Silesian Beskids that sits right on the Polish-Czech border — you can literally stand in two countries at once. Its broad, flattened top opens up sweeping views across two nations, while a nearby mountain hut and ski station keep it lively in every season.

The summit ridge stretches gently westward, giving unobstructed panoramas of a large part of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids, the peak of Stożek Wielki, the western edge of the Malá Fatra range, the Jaworniky ridge, and the distinctive TV-mast topped Lysá hora (1323 m). In winter the northeastern slopes transform into a proper ski area; in summer the beech and spruce forests invite long, peaceful walks along well-marked trails.

• The Main Beskid Trail (Główny Szlak Beskidzki) runs over the summit.
• The state border between Poland and the Czech Republic follows the ridge — trails cross into both countries.
• A private mountain hut, built in 1932, stands about 500 m north of the summit and serves as a trail junction for routes toward Czantoria Wielka, Stożek and Wisła Jawornik.
• The Soszów Ski Station on the northeastern slope offers a chairlift, a T-bar lift, 3 button lifts and nearly 6 km of pistes of varying difficulty.
• The Zagroda Lepiarzówka mountain guesthouse is located on the border ridge just north of the summit.

The hut near Soszów Wielki has been welcoming hikers since 1932 — proof that this border summit was treasured by mountain lovers long before ski lifts ever appeared on its slopes.
