Sľubica (1,129 m a.s.l.) is a hidden gem in the Branisko mountain range of eastern Slovakia — the highest point of its southern section and a summit that rewards visitors with one of the most breathtaking panoramas in the entire country. It sits roughly 9 km east of Spišské Podhradie and is popular year-round with hikers of all levels.

The summit is covered with a partially open forest, and in several spots the trees give way to sweeping views. On a clear day you can spot the High Tatras and Belianske Tatras, the Slovak Paradise, the Low Tatras' eastern ridges, and the dramatic landscape of Spiš complete with the iconic Dreveník rock formation and Spiš Castle in the foreground. The record long-distance view stretches an impressive 113.6 km to Veľký Choč. In winter, the trails are quieter and the snowy landscape takes on a magical quality — locals even organise an annual 'Winter Ascent of Sľubica' event each year.
