Skrajne Jatki (2,012 m a.s.l.) is a rugged, rocky peak in the Belianske Tatry (Tatra Mountains), rising above the charming village of Ždiar. Wild, untouched and strictly protected, it is one of those summits that reminds you just how precious true mountain wilderness can be.

Sitting along the south-eastern section of the main Belianske Tatry ridge, between Prostredné Jatky (1,984 m) and Bujačí vrch (1,947 m), the peak is covered only by low-growing vegetation. Its elevated position offers theoretical views stretching across the Belianske Tatry ridge, numerous High Tatras summits, and — in clear conditions — distant ranges such as the Pieniny, Spišská Magura, Oravské Beskydy and mountain ranges of southern Poland. The massif lies within the Tatra National Park.

• Skrajne Jatki is part of the Belianske Tatry National Nature Reserve and has been closed to hikers since 1978 — ascending the summit is strictly prohibited.

• The peak is under strict legal protection as part of the Belianske Tatry National Nature Reserve; access has been forbidden since 1978.
• The peak can be admired from marked hiking trails in the wider Belianske Tatry area and from the village of Ždiar.

Interestingly, experts still debate whether Skrajne Jatki counts as a single peak, two separate summits, or simply part of the neighbouring Zadné Jatky massif — a small mystery that adds to its appeal.
