Rzepedka (707 m a.s.l.) is a twin-summit peak in the eastern part of the Beskid Niski range, hiding one of the most pleasant surprises in the area — wide open meadows reminiscent of the alpine pastures of the Bieszczady. If you are looking for panoramic views without the crowds, this is your place.

The summit ridge and southern slopes are covered with expansive meadows that feel almost like high-altitude Polish 'połoniny', which is quite unusual for the Beskid Niski. The northern slopes remain forested, and the whole massif is carved up by small stream valleys. On a clear day, the southeastern horizon reveals the distant silhouettes of Bieszczady peaks — including Smerek and Połonina Caryńska. Spring brings wildflowers to the meadows, while autumn turns everything golden and russet — both seasons are equally rewarding.

• The ridge of Rzepedka is followed by the 'Good Soldier Švejk Trail' — a well-known themed hiking route, accessible and not very demanding, suitable for families.
• The summit is also reachable via unmarked local tracks from the village of Płonna on the northern side, or from the Rzepedka valley on the southern side near the former village of Stara Rzepedź.

• The peak has two summits — the western one is higher and offers more open views.
• Unmarked local paths can be tricky to follow outside the main hiking season — bring a map or an offline navigation app.

The old Lemko name for this peak was 'Rożynkania', meaning roughly 'the horn-shaped mountain' — a beautiful trace of the Lemko people who once lived in these valleys before the postwar deportations.
