Rudawiec (1,106 m a.s.l.) is the third highest peak in the Góry Bialskie range and a must-visit summit on the Polish-Czech borderland. It holds a special place on the Polish Crown of Mountains list, representing the entire Góry Bialskie group — making it a sought-after goal for peak-baggers and nature lovers alike.

The massif is impressively shaped, acting as a junction point for three distinct ridges: the Rude Krzyże ridge to the southwest, the Iwinka ridge to the southeast, and the short Biała Kopa ridge to the north. The lower slopes are draped in dense montane forests, gradually thinning into sparser upper-montane woodland near the summit. The northern and eastern flanks form part of the 'Puszcza Jaworowa' forest, with its most precious sections protected as the 'Puszcza Śnieżnej Białki' nature reserve. In autumn the colours are spectacular; in winter the snow-covered trails offer a peaceful escape.

• Bielice — trail via Płoszczyną Pass towards Śnieżnik, running mostly along the Polish-Czech border; Rudawiec lies along this route. Difficulty: moderate.
• Sucha Pass — approach from the north via the road extending from the 'Dukt nad Spławami' forest track, which traverses the eastern slope.

• Rudawiec is on the official 'Korona Gór Polski' (Polish Crown of Mountains) list as the representative peak of Góry Bialskie — required for the full badge.
• It also counts towards the 'Korona Gór Dolnego Śląska' (Crown of Lower Silesian Mountains).
• The trail runs partly along the state border — you are hiking in a border zone between Poland and the Czech Republic.
• The technically higher peaks of this group (Travna hora 1,121 m, Postawna 1,117 m, Brusek) are not accessible via marked tourist trails.

Sitting on the European watershed, Rudawiec is built from metamorphic schists and Gierałtów gneisses — ancient rocks that tell the deep geological story of the Sudetes.
