The Śnieżnik Massif is the highest mountain range in the Polish part of the Eastern Sudetes — a wild, sweeping landscape of gneiss ridges, deep river valleys and open alpine meadows that surprises visitors with its sheer diversity. This is a place where three seas meet beneath a single summit and the natural world thrives like nowhere else in the Sudetes.
The massif stretches roughly 30 km from west to east and radiates six broad, rounded ridges from its central peak, Śnieżnik (1,425 m). Hikers will discover gently forested ridgelines, steep slopes plunging into narrow valleys, boulder fields and rocky outcrops on the summits, and — above 1,250 m — wide open mountain meadows with views that linger long after the trip is over. The air is clean, trails are well marked, and wildlife encounters are almost guaranteed.
Highlights:An intriguing fact — the flora and fauna of the Śnieżnik Massif are considered the richest in the entire Sudetes, where Sudetic, Carpathian, Alpine and even Mediterranean species overlap, creating a truly unique ecological mosaic.
