Rinnerspitz is a modest but story-rich summit in the Schlierseer Bergen, part of the Mangfall Mountains in Bavaria. Locals also call it Peißenberg, though it shouldn't be confused with the better-known peak of the same name elsewhere. Beyond the views, this mountain carries a dark tale — poacher Georg Jennerwein was shot dead here in 1877.

The peak sits between Bodenschneid and Wasserspitz, right along the boundary between the municipalities of Rottach-Egern and Schliersee. On its northern flank, along the ridge leading to Wasserspitz, stands the Jennerwein memorial cross, adding a reflective note to the hike. The surrounding landscape is classic pre-Alpine terrain — meadows, forest and rocky ridge sections, with views toward Spitzingsee to the east.
