Pupov (1,095.6 m a.s.l.) is a quiet, forested summit in the Kysuce Highlands of northwestern Slovakia — the kind of peak that rewards those willing to step off the beaten track. Sitting right on the boundary of the Malá Fatra National Park protection zone, between the districts of Žilina and Dolný Kubín, it offers a genuine sense of wilderness without demanding extreme effort.

The massif rises directly above the Rovná hora saddle and stretches along a west–east ridge. The very top is wooded, so open panoramas from the summit itself are limited — but the cleared slopes and northern foothills more than make up for it with sweeping views of the Kriváň Fatra and the Orava Magura range. On clear days, the border ridges of the Kysuce Beskids also come into view. In autumn, the beech forests turn golden and the whole massif takes on a wonderfully atmospheric feel.

• Rovná hora saddle (751 m a.s.l.) — no marked trail; the easiest and most direct approach to the main summit follows the ridge from here.
• Biely Potok village — yellow trail branching off the green route toward the hamlet of Šípková; leads to the western peak of Pupov (1,045 m a.s.l.), from where the ridge continues east toward the main top.

• The entire massif lies within the buffer zone of Malá Fatra National Park — respect the regulations that apply in this area.
• There is no marked trail to the main summit; good navigation skills in forested terrain are needed.

Pupov lends its name to a distinctive geological formation — the 'Pupov Formation' of turbidite sandstones, making this modest peak a landmark of regional geological significance.
