Praszywka Mała is a quiet, understated peak in the Wielka Racza Group, offering wide grassy meadows and views far from the crowds. It's a perfect pick for hikers who want a peaceful escape into the Żywiec-Kysuce Beskids without following the busiest trails.

The peak has two summits joined by a treeless, grassy ridge — the former pastoral meadow known as Solisko. In summer the slopes turn lush green and wildflower-dotted, while in winter they become open snowy fields perfect for soaking in the panorama. The eastern slopes drop steeply into the deep valley of the Rycerka stream, giving the area a wild, untouched feel.

How to reach the summit

• The marked trail bypasses the actual summit, running along its western slopes at some distance — reaching the top requires leaving the trail and climbing the grassy slopes
• A convenient starting point is the area around Rycerka Górna, within whose boundaries the peak lies

Practical information

• Between Praszywka Mała and Praszywka Duża, at the Przysłop Potucki saddle, a seasonal student tent camp (Studencka Baza Namiotowa Przysłop Potucki) operates in summer — a good spot for a rest or a night under canvas
• The peak has two summits — the higher, south-western one reaches 988 m, while maps label the lower, north-eastern one

The name has Vlach roots, coming from the Romanian word prâşit meaning to plough — a trace of the old Vlach shepherds who grazed sheep here and shaped these meadows over centuries.
