Postawna (1,117 m a.s.l.) is one of the highest summits in the Złote and Bialskie Mountains of the Eastern Sudetes — a wild, forested peak sitting just 200 metres from the Czech border, and a proud entry on the 'Crown of the Polish Sudetes' list. The summit itself is blanketed in dense forest, so panoramic views are not the main draw here. Instead, the appeal lies in the raw, quiet atmosphere of the Sudeten wilderness. The northern slopes of Postawna are the source area of the Biała Lądecka river — standing here, you are literally at the birthplace of a river. The terrain is beautiful across all seasons: fresh and green in spring, cool and shaded in summer, and strikingly colourful in autumn.
