Pośrednia Grań (2,441 m a.s.l.) is one of the most compelling peaks in the Slovak High Tatras — a sharp, dramatic ridge rising proudly above the Cold Valleys, offering a sweeping panorama that rewards every step of the effort. It is not a peak for casual walkers, which is exactly what makes it so appealing to those craving a genuine alpine experience.

As the highest point of the middle ridge running between Malá Studená dolina and Veľká Studená dolina, the peak is flanked by serious terrain on all sides. The western face drops a formidable 750 metres into Veľká Studená dolina, while the northern wall towers some 450 metres above Malá Studená dolina. On a clear day the summit offers a full circular panorama: the peaks of the High Tatras, the Sub-Tatric Basin, much of the Low Tatras, and distant ranges stretching far to the east and south. In winter the mountain takes on a raw, icy character that demands respect from even experienced alpinists.

• Téry Hut (Malá Studená dolina) — marked tourist trails lead up the valley to the hut; the summit itself requires a licensed mountain guide and is approached via climbing routes, most notably the Dubke Ledge route starting above the hut.
• Zamkovský Hut (south-east end of the middle ridge) and Zbojnícka Hut (Veľká Studená dolina) — both are accessible via marked trails along the ridge flanks; the two huts are connected by the trail over Priečne sedlo (the Transverse Saddle).

• The summit lies within the Tatra National Park and the Studené doliny National Nature Reserve — access to the top is permitted only when accompanied by a licensed mountain guide.
• The 'Roof' ('Strecha') is the most exposed and dangerous section of the Dubke Ledge route and has claimed lives; it demands full focus and solid alpine experience.
• In 1986 a rock tower collapsed from the eastern face, sending a rockfall onto the busy tourist trail to Téry Hut — rock conditions on this peak can change over time.

The first recorded ascent took place in 1876, achieved by E. Téry, P. Schwarz, J. Still and S. Horvay — the very same Edmund Téry after whom the iconic hut in Malá Studená dolina is named, still the most popular base for exploring this remarkable area today.
