Polianky (1,066 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding summit in the Skorušinské vrchy range, offering wide-open views across multiple mountain groups without demanding any technical climbing skills. Situated above the village of Malé Borové, roughly 13 km south of Tvrdošín, it sits along a scenic ridge that is still refreshingly free of crowds.

The summit area is a lovely mix of scattered woodland and broad mountain meadows, giving the peak an airy, open feel that is hard to find elsewhere at this elevation. On a clear day the panorama stretches to the Western and Low Tatras, the Malá Fatra and the Oravská Magura — a surprisingly grand reward for a relatively modest climb. Spring brings wildflowers to the meadows, summer offers long sunny days on the grass, and autumn wraps the hillsides in warm amber and gold.

• A marked red hiking trail crosses the summit, running along the ridge from Diel (1,051 m) towards the prominent peak of Kopec (1,251 m).
• The summit sits on a watershed: northwestern slopes drain into the Orava river system via Chlebnický potok, while southern and eastern slopes feed the Kvačianka, a tributary of the Váh.

Polianky makes a natural and satisfying stop on a longer ridge traverse through the Skorušinské vrchy — quiet, authentic and genuinely scenic in a way that only lesser-known Slovak mountains can be.
