Płaczka (958 m a.s.l.) is a forested peak in the Śnieżnik Massif in the Polish Sudetes — a quiet, rewarding destination for hikers who love the atmosphere of deep spruce woods and unspoiled mountain terrain. It rises from the north-eastern ridge of Śnieżnik, flanked by the valleys of Lej Mały to the south and Cisowy Rozdół to the north. The entire peak is cloaked in lower montane spruce forest, which makes it atmospheric in every season — cool and shaded in summer, ablaze with colour in autumn, and beautifully silent under snow in winter. The steep slopes are carved by small stream valleys, giving the landscape a wild, untamed feel. Płaczka lies within the Śnieżnik Landscape Park, so the nature here is well protected and the surroundings remain unspoiled.

• Stary Gierałtów or Przełęcz Staromiejska (Old Moravia Pass) — blue trail, following the so-called 'Road above the Hollows' (Droga nad Lejami) past the summit towards the PTTK mountain hut 'Na Śnieżniku', moderate difficulty.
• Przełęcz Płoszczyna — sightseeing path towards Czarna Góra, passing through the Płaczka area along the same Droga nad Lejami route, moderate difficulty.

The peak's old German name, Platzen Berg, hints at its long cross-border history, and the 'Road above the Hollows' passing just below the summit has been a mountain thoroughfare for centuries — now a pleasant hiking route connecting the valleys to the famous Śnieżnik hut.
