Pięciostawiańska Kopa (2121 m a.s.l.) is a distinctive rocky knoll closing off the Ice Ridge in the Slovak High Tatras, offering superb views over the Five Spis Lakes valley and the shimmering surface of Wielki Staw Spiski lying at its eastern foot. It is a rewarding destination for hikers who want dramatic alpine scenery without venturing onto the most technical terrain.

The landscape here is quintessentially Tatra — rugged ridges, glacially carved valleys, and an atmosphere of raw high-mountain wilderness. In summer the trails are accessible and well-marked, while in winter the slopes demand solid experience and proper winter mountaineering skills. The neighbouring summit of Pięciostawiańska Czuba is separated from the Kopa by the narrow Skrajny Lodowy Przechód passage.

• From Téry Hut — yellow trail to Červená lavka (approx. 1 h 30 min), then onward to Zbojnícka chata in Staroleśna Valley (approx. 1 h 45 min further) — moderate difficulty.
• From Téry Hut — green trail (shared with yellow) to the junction in Ľadová dolinka, then up to Ľadové sedlo pass (approx. 1 h 30 min up / 1 h 10 min down; from junction 45 min up / 35 min down) — moderate difficulty.

• The peak lies within the Tatra National Park on the Slovak side — park regulations apply.
• Téry Hut nearby serves as an excellent base for exploring this area.
• Winter ascent requires experience; the first winter ascent was not achieved until 13 April 1914.

The Slovak name of the peak honours Jozef Pfinn, a railway engineer and passionate advocate of Tatra tourism who, around the turn of the 20th century, controversially proposed building a rack-and-pinion cable railway up to Rysy — a plan that fortunately never came to pass.
