Patria (1,171 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding summit in the Branisko mountain range in eastern Slovakia, rising above the village of Široké and offering — on clear days — sweeping views stretching all the way to the High and Belanské Tatras. It's a peaceful, forested peak that suits hikers looking for a quiet escape rather than a crowded trail.

The summit is draped in a patchy forest cover, which opens up in just the right spots to reveal a remarkable panorama. From those vantage points you can spot the surrounding peaks of Branisko, the Levoča Hills, the High and Belanské Tatras, the eastern part of the Low Tatras, the Hornád Basin, Slovak Paradise, the Volov Hills, Čierna Hora, the Slanské Hills, the Šariš Uplands and Čergov. Autumn is a particularly beautiful time to visit, as the beech forests along the trail put on a vivid show of colour.

• The summit is crossed by a marked hiking trail and can be reached via yellow or green waymarked routes from several directions.
• The nearest settlements are Široké, Fričovce and Šindliar to the east, and Korytné and Poľanovce to the west.

Patria sits on a ridge spur running southward from the Smrekovica massif (1,200 m), making it a natural stepping stone for longer ridge walks through the Branisko range.
