Paráč (1,325 m a.s.l.) is a prominent peak in the Oravská Magura range, rising above the village of Zázrivá around 13 km north of Dolný Kubín. It is a quiet, forested summit with a genuine mountain feel — perfect for hikers who enjoy solitude and unspoiled nature.

The entire summit area is covered by continuous forest, so the views from the very top are limited. However, nearby spots with sparser vegetation reward you on clear days with sweeping panoramas of the surrounding Oravská Magura hills, the Malá and Veľká Fatra ranges, the Tatras, and the Oravské, Sliezske, Kysucké and Moravian-Silesian Beskids, as well as the Javorníky hills. The ridge forms the boundary of the Malá Fatra National Park buffer zone and the Horná Orava Protected Landscape Area. In winter, the trails take on a wilder, more demanding character under a blanket of snow.

• The blue ridge trail runs just below the actual summit, which lies slightly off the main marked path.
• The southern part of the summit is protected as the Paráč Nature Reserve.

The western slopes of Paráč are the source area of the Biela Orava river — one of the region's main waterways — giving this peaceful forested peak a quietly impressive hydrological significance.
