Panek, also known as Góra Parkowa ('Park Hill'), is a charming summit right on the edge of Bielawa town that packs a surprising amount into a modest 452 metres. A historic steel observation tower waits at the top, offering views stretching over 30 km on a clear day — and the whole adventure is just a short walk from the town centre.

Mixed forests of spruce, linden and oak cover the slopes, giving cool shade in summer and vivid colours in autumn. At the foot of the hill lies the Cegielnia pond, a favourite spot for anglers targeting pike, carp and perch. In winter the northern slope comes alive with a 200-metre ski tow called 'Krasnal' and a sledging run — great fun for families. On the western flank you can spot the Biała Skałka ('White Rock'), a scenic cliff face left behind by a 19th-century quarry.

The observation tower carries the historical name 'Wolfgangturm', built in June 1925 by the local branch of the Eulengebirgsverein (Owl Mountains Society) — and locals affectionately call the whole hill 'Gnome Mountain', a nickname that younger visitors tend to love.
