Ostredok (2,050 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding rocky summit in the Western Tatras of Slovakia, sitting along the rugged Otrhance ridge within Tatra National Park. It offers a full 360-degree panorama without the crowds of the more famous Tatra peaks — a true hidden gem for those who love unspoiled mountain scenery.

The rocky top opens up a sweeping circular view: the surrounding peaks of the Western Tatras, the Sub-Tatra Basin, and the Low Tatras all stretch out before you. The eastern slopes drop dramatically into the Račková Valley, while the western side falls toward the Jamnická Valley. The ridge trail here lives up to the name 'Otrhance' — it is rugged and exposed, demanding careful footing especially in windy or wet conditions. Chamois are frequently spotted on the slopes, making the hike even more memorable. In winter and early spring, the ridge can be covered in snow and require alpine experience.
