Ostra Góra is a hidden gem for hikers who crave solitude and untouched wilderness. This unassuming yet distinctive peak in the Magura Range, in the northern part of the Beskid Niski mountains, is a place for those escaping crowds and searching for forest silence.

The summit sits on a northern side ridge branching off from the Dziamera massif, separated from it by an unnamed pass at roughly 705 m a.s.l. Elongated toward the northwest, its slopes are fairly steep and poorly fragmented — likely the source of its name, since viewed from Bodaki or Dragaszów the summit does look sharp and jagged. Today the entire massif is covered in dense forest, offering pleasant shade in summer and glowing autumn colors from beech and fir trees. In winter, absolute silence reigns — this is a place for those who value solitary wandering over panoramic views.

How to reach the summit

• Dragaszów — via the forest road running along the western slopes up to the unnamed pass (approx. 705 m a.s.l.), then off-trail to the summit — a route for experienced hikers requiring good navigation skills
