Orlová (1,840 m a.s.l.) is one of the most distinctive open summits in the eastern Low Tatras — a broad, grassy alpine peak that rewards every hiker with a sweeping, unobstructed 360-degree panorama. The summit sits on the main ridge of the Kráľovohoľské Tatry, between Andrejcová (1,519 m) and the iconic Kráľova hoľa (1,946 m). The ridge and summit are blanketed in low alpine grassland and scattered rocky fields — open, windswept terrain that feels wild and expansive in every season. On a clear day the view stretches to the High Tatras, Western Tatras, the Chočské and Kremnické hills, Poľana, and even peaks in northern Hungary. Winters bring heavy snow and strong winds along the exposed ridge, while summer turns it into a perfectly pleasant all-day hike. A metal double cross marks the western sub-summit and makes for a striking landmark on the skyline.
