Ochodzita (895 m a.s.l.) is one of the most rewarding summits in the Silesian Beskids — a broad, treeless dome rising above the wide Koniaków Gate valley, offering what many consider the finest panoramic view in the entire Western Beskids. Standing right on the Great European Watershed, it is the point where water parts ways toward the Baltic Sea in the north and the Black Sea in the south.

The slopes are covered with meadows and pastures almost all the way to the top, giving the mountain an open, welcoming feel year-round. In summer the grassy summit buzzes with families and hikers enjoying the effortless views; in autumn the hues of the highland meadows and distant ridges are simply stunning. On a clear day the panorama stretches from the Tatra Mountains and Babia Góra in the east, across the Żywiec Beskids, all the way to Lysá hora in the Moravian-Silesian Beskids to the west — a full 360-degree sweep that makes every step worthwhile.

• Koniaków village (roadside parking in the centre) — trail leads through open pastures directly to the top, gentle ascent, approx. 45–60 minutes, difficulty: easy.
• From Jaworzynka or Milówka — longer ridge variants for those seeking quieter approaches with fewer visitors.

• A TV, radio and mobile phone relay station stands on the summit — mobile coverage here is generally reliable.
• Just below the top you will find a small wayside chapel, a folk-art piece carved by Ludwik Kubaszczyk, a traditional craftsman from Koniaków.
• A ski tow operates on the north-western slopes in winter, making the area popular with skiers and snowboarders.

The mountain's name carries a charming folk legend: outlaws are said to have watched the old merchant trail from this high vantage point, forcing traders to 'go around' the dangerous peak — and so it became the mountain you have to 'walk around', Ochodzita.
