Mojský grúň (1,525 m a.s.l.) is a quiet, off-the-beaten-path summit in the central part of the Krivánska Malá Fatra mountains — perfect for those who like to stray from marked trails and discover something a little wilder. It may not be the most dramatic peak in the range, but it rewards the curious hiker with lovely views and genuine mountain solitude.

The summit sits on a ridge running southeast from Malý Kriváň and is surrounded by impressive neighbours — Veľký Kriváň (1,709 m), Malý Kriváň (1,671 m), Pekelník (1,609 m) and Meškalka (1,536 m). The top is covered in dwarf pine, which limits panoramic views somewhat, but from the right spots you get beautiful sightlines south over the Turiec and Liptov regions. In good conditions, the Western and Low Tatras, the Chočské Hills, Veľká Fatra, Žiar, Vtáčnik and even parts of the Súľov Rocks are visible over the lower ridges. The western slopes drain into the Tiesňava valley, while the eastern slopes fall toward the Studenec stream. Summer brings peaceful greenery far from the crowds, while winter turns this corner of the Fatras into a proper wilderness.

Mojský grúň falls within the administrative territory of the town of Turany and forms part of the scenic Krivánske Veterné hole area — one of the most attractive sections of the entire Malá Fatra range. A genuine hidden gem for anyone who enjoys stepping off the map.
