Minčol (1,139 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding ridge summit in the Oravská Magura range, sitting above the village of Zázrivá about 10 km north of Dolný Kubín. It offers a partially open circular panorama and can be reached by several well-marked trails from different directions.

The peak sits along a ridge between the higher Minčol (1,394 m) to the south and Paráč (1,325 m) to the north. The sparse, discontinuous vegetation on the ridge and summit opens up surprisingly wide views — on a clear day you can see not only the surrounding summits of Oravská Magura, but also the Kysuce Highlands, Malá Fatra, the Tatras, and a slice of the Orava Beskids. The ridge itself marks the boundary of the protected zone of Malá Fatra National Park and the Horná Orava Protected Landscape Area, so the nature here feels genuinely undisturbed. Western slopes drain via Kozinský and Minčolský streams into the Zázrivka river, while eastern slopes feed into the Biela Orava — a detail that speaks to the quiet, watershed character of this mountain.
