Mariánska hora (782 m a.s.l.) is a peak in the Levoča Hills that offers something truly unique: a marked hiking trail leading to one of Slovakia's most visited pilgrimage sites, with sweeping views over the medieval town of Levoča spread out below. It is a place where spirituality and mountain scenery meet in the most natural way.

Situated on the boundary between the Levoča Hills and the Hornád Basin, the peak sits directly above the UNESCO-listed town of Levoča. The summit itself is forested, but the wide meadow surrounding the Basilica of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary opens up fine views of the town, the Hornád Basin, the surrounding Levoča Hills, Slovak Paradise, the Volovské vrchy range, and the eastern Low Tatras. In spring the meadows bloom brightly, summer brings a steady flow of pilgrims and hikers, and autumn wraps the hillside in warm forest colours that frame the Gothic basilica beautifully.

• Three long-distance routes cross the hill: the St. James Way (Camino de Santiago), the Slovak Marian Way, and International Long-Distance Route I23.

The pilgrimage tradition on Mariánska hora stretches back to the Middle Ages, making this modest hill one of the most historically significant sacred sites in the whole of eastern Slovakia.
