Malý Choč (1,465 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding and wonderfully quiet summit in the Choč Mountains of northern Slovakia, sitting just a stone's throw from its bigger neighbour, Veľký Choč (1,608 m). If you enjoy peaks that feel genuinely off the beaten track, this one is for you.

The mountain forms part of the south-eastern ridge extending from Veľký Choč, separated from it by the Vráca saddle (1,422 m). Its south-western slopes drop into the Turík stream valley, while the north-eastern flanks descend towards the Žimerova stream. The whole area is protected within the Choč nature reserve, giving it a wild and unspoilt character throughout the seasons — lush and green in summer, ablaze with colour in autumn, and peacefully snow-covered in winter.
