Magura (1,073 m a.s.l.) is a peaceful, forested summit in the Wielka Racza Group of the Żywiec Beskids in southern Poland — a wonderfully quiet corner of the Carpathians where you can hike without the crowds and soak up the true atmosphere of the Beskid highlands.

The summit is almost entirely cloaked in mixed spruce, beech and fir forest, giving each season its own distinct character. Spring brings birdsong and fresh green canopies, summer offers cool shade on the trail, while autumn transforms the ridge into a mosaic of gold and crimson. In winter, with snow blanketing the Wielka Racza Group, the terrain takes on a raw, almost alpine feel. This is a destination for hikers who appreciate stillness and unspoiled mountain scenery over panoramic viewpoints.

The name 'Magura' itself is of Vlach origin, meaning a tall and solitary mountain massif — a living trace of the Wallachian shepherds who wandered these Carpathian ridges centuries ago, leaving behind both place names and the pastoral landscape we see today.
