Magura is a peak that captivates with its calm, wild, forested character — a perfect destination for those seeking the quiet of the Beskid Niski range far from the crowds. Though lower than its neighboring summits, it has its own unique charm and lies at the heart of Magura National Park.

The entire summit is covered in dense forest, making a hike here a true forest bath — different in every season, yet always peaceful. On the southern and south-eastern slopes of the massif rise the Świerzówka and Rzeszówka streams, while the Kłopotnica flows from the northern side — all feeding into the Wisłoka river. In autumn the forests glow with color, in winter snow muffles every sound, and in spring and summer the trail is wrapped in greenery and birdsong. Near the summit you'll find a trail junction, an obelisk-monument to Pope John Paul II, and a shelter worth a rest stop.

How to reach the summit

• PTTK shelter in Bartne — red trail (Main Beskid Trail), moderate difficulty, continues toward Świerzowa and Kolanin
• Folusz / Mrukowa — green trail via Wątkowa (846 m) and Barwinok, an alternative route for those who enjoy longer hikes
