Litvorový štít (2423 m a.s.l.) is a rugged, rocky peak sitting in the main ridge of the High Tatras, wedged between dramatic valleys and towering neighbours. It rewards the adventurous with sweeping 360-degree views and a genuine sense of wilderness — this is the High Tatras well off the beaten path.

The peak rises between Lavínový štít (2606 m) and Východná Vysoká (2428 m). Its eastern cliffs drop into the Velická Valley, the northern slopes face the Litvorová Valley, and to the west lies the Kačacia Valley. From the summit, the panorama takes in the surrounding peaks and valleys of the High Tatras, the northern ridge of the Belianske Tatry, and on clear days stretches as far as the Orava Beskids, Low Tatras, and mountains of southern Poland. The approach via the Velická Valley offers dramatic views of the peak throughout the year, while autumn colours in the valleys make the setting particularly memorable.

• Sliezsky dom mountain hut is nearby, reachable via the green trail from Tatranská Polianka

The name of the peak traces back to the Litvorová Valley, itself named after a folk term for Garden Angelica — a plant once commonly gathered in these mountains. The first recorded ascent took place in 1897, making it one of the earlier summits claimed in this part of the Tatras.
